Less salt in your food

 Pregnant women should eat less salt as too much salt in diet is not healthy to the heart. This may lead to many complications during pregnancy.

According to the Health Promotion Board, food in Singapore have been prepared with too much salt. Too much salt in the food is harmful to the health, especially to the pregnant women.

If you take in too much salt, you will take in lots of sodium to the body. Too much sodium in the blood will worse the swelling that is experienced by many pregnant women.

Even worse it will cause the blood pressure to increase and can even cause heart failure.

Note, if you eat too little salt in the long term, it will also have an adverse effect on the health.
