Filipino maid salary in Singapore

 average monthly salary of Filipino maid is $597 and median monthly salary of Filipino maid is $585 and the minimum monthly salary is $570 from 1st May 2017.

Filipino maid salary in 2017

According to a survey conducted by babyment.com, the average maid salary of Filipino maid salary in 2017 is $597 while the median monthly salary of Filipino maid salary is 585.

 

Out of the 40 employers who complete the survey, 2 employers state that the monthly basic salary of their Filipino maid is $700 and above. It is believed the Filipino maids working in these two families have many years of experience.

 

Ten employers state that their Filipino domestic helpers are earning $550 a month as their basic salary. $550 is the minimum monthly salary imposed by the Philippines Embassy’s Overseas Labour Office in 2012.  Before this, the minimum monthly salary was $500.

 

 

Minimum monthly salary in 2017

In March 2017, the Philippines Embassy’s Overseas Labour Office asked the accredited employment agencies in Singapore to raise the minimum monthly salary of Filipino maid to $570 from 1st May 2017, the embassy cites “fluctuation in exchange rate” as the main reason for the increase in the minimum monthly salary.

 

Compensation for maid’s weekly rest day

If you need your Filipino maid to work on her off day, the compensation rate must at least be your maid’s daily wage which is usually calculated based on the following formula:

Daily wage = basic monthly salary / 26
